Frequently Asked Questions
How is each piece of Atelier Alessandra jewellery made?
Every piece is handcrafted by artisan Alessandra Padoan using the traditional Murano lampworking technique — a centuries-old Venetian art form. Glass rods are melted over an open flame and shaped entirely by hand, then embellished with real gold or silver leaf. No two pieces are ever identical.
How do I care for my Murano glass jewellery?
Murano glass is delicate and should be treated with care. Avoid exposure to perfume, hairspray, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and hard surfaces. Clean gently with a soft dry cloth, and store each piece separately in its pouch or box to prevent scratching.
Can I request a custom or personalised piece?
Absolutely — bespoke commissions are at the heart of what we do. Contact us with your idea (colour palette, style, occasion) and we’ll work directly with Alessandra to create something made uniquely for you. Custom orders typically take 3–4 weeks.
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your piece. If you’re not fully satisfied, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery — provided the item is unworn, in its original condition, and returned in its original packaging. Custom and personalised orders are non-refundable.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days. Delivery within Europe takes 3–7 business days; international orders typically arrive within 7–14 business days. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order ships.
How do I know my piece is authentic Murano glass?
Every piece from Atelier Alessandra is handmade in Venice using genuine Murano glass, crafted by artisan Alessandra Padoan. We do not use mass-produced or imported imitations. Each creation reflects the living tradition of Venetian glassmaking — a craft protected and celebrated on the island of Murano for over seven centuries.
